The Siliguri Corridor, often referred to as the "Chicken's Neck", is a narrow stretch of land in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is named for its narrow shape, resembling a chicken's neck, and serves as the only land bridge connecting the seven north-eastern states of India to the rest of the country. This corridor is approximately 20-22 kilometres wide at its narrowest point and is strategically located between Nepal to the northwest, Bangladesh to the south and southeast, and Bhutan to the north.
